Dmitri Kourliandski — 3 bagatelles
Ensemble intercontemporain — 3 bagatelles (World premiere)
Created by Pierre Boulez in 1976, the Ensemble intercontemporain is dedicated to music from the 20th century to today. The 31 solo musicians who compose it are under the direction of the German conductor and composer Matthias Pintscher. United by the same passion for creation, they participate in the exploration of new musical territories alongside composers, to whom commissions for new works are made each year. This creative process feeds on inventions and encounters with other forms of artistic expression: dance, theater, video, visual arts, etc. In collaboration with IRCAM (Institute for Research and Acoustic Coordination / Music) the Ensemble is also developing new projects, including new multimedia technologies. The training activities of young performers and composers, the educational concerts as well as the many cultural activities intended for the public, reflect an ever renewed commitment to transmission. In residence at the Cité de la Musique — Philharmonie de Paris, Ensemble intercontemporain performs in France and abroad, where she is regularly invited by major international theaters and festivals.
